Topics that were covered during the training included:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Maternal nutrition&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pregnancy danger signs, identification, and management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Immunizations during pregnancy and newborn immunizations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Linking pregnant women with health facilities and referral pathways<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.refugepoint.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4421-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2593\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.refugepoint.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4421-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.refugepoint.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4421-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.refugepoint.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4421-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.refugepoint.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4421-540x360.jpg 540w, https:\/\/www.refugepoint.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/IMG_4421-400x267.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Community Navigators lead a February 25 session in Eastleigh, Nairobi, about pregnancy and nutrition, immunizations, danger signs in pregnancy, and sexual and gender-based violence.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After the December 2019 community strategy training, the outreach team conducted field sessions in various locations throughout Nairobi to share the knowledge gained during the training. The sessions were led by the Community Navigators, with support from the medical and outreach teams.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One training, which focused specifically on pregnant women and women with children under five, was held in Eastleigh (a neighborhood of Nairobi, Kenya), on February 25. That training covered topics including the immunization of children under-five, pregnancy and nutrition, danger signs in pregnancy, and sexual and gender-based violence.
