Today, the Biden Administration announced its commitment to bolstering the U.S. refugee resettlement system by <\/span>raising <\/span>refugee admissions to 125,000 individuals during <\/span>fiscal year 2022<\/span><\/a>. This is a critical step towards rebuilding a dismantled system that provides life-saving support for those fleeing persecution, human rights abuses, and violent conflict. RefugePoint welcomes this announcement and encourages the Biden Administration to provide a robust response to both the unfolding Afghan situation as well as refugees fleeing danger and stuck in long-term limbo in other parts of the world.<\/span><\/p>\n
