Around the world, many thousands of refugees have the skills and experience to apply for jobs that would allow them to relocate to safe, new countries and begin to rebuild their lives. Due to policy and logistical hurdles, however, these work visa pathways are generally unavailable to refugees. RefugePoint\u2019s labor mobility program, one of the first of its kind in the world, helps qualified refugees overcome these challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
RefugePoint helps to match qualified refugees in Kenya with employers in Canada and then supports them throughout the long, challenging process to allow them and their families to immigrate to their new home. We are one of the founding members of the Global Task Force on Labor Mobility, where we advocate that labor mobility pathways should be refugee-centered and should be guided by the lived experience of individuals who have participated in these pathways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With RefugePoint\u2019s assistance, over 100 refugees in Kenya have secured jobs in Canada through our labor mobility program.\u00a0 They – and their families – are in various stages of the immigration process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
